Dr Frances Guyett
Dr Guyett is the inaugural CEO for the New Zealand Health Innovation Hub which provides a framework for collaboration with industry to accelerate of ‘smart ideas’ to market on behalf of New Zealand’s four largest District Health Boards. Frances has extensive business experience working both here in this region and in the international arena whilst living in the USA, Japan and Latin America. Her expertise and skills consist of growing ‘start-up’ and large scale healthcare and scientific based companies, contract research organisations, and manufacturing facilities. She has a broad-based technology background, covering pharmaceutical drugs, medical diagnostic services, medical devices, soft-ware and apps development. Also, an inventor of a number of patented technologies. Over the years, Frances has held many executive management and board positions including Medvet Science, RDDT Laboratories, and more.
Previously, Frances successfully led RDDT Laboratories Pty Ltd from start-up to trade sale to a US based company in six years. During her time as CEO for Medvet Science Pty Ltd, a commercialization company for the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science, she was responsible for commercializing medical research and successfully spun-out three companies called Mesoblast, LBT, Vet Biotechnology and Oncaidia.
