Domenic 35 years of extensive experience attained through delivery of major national iconic infrastructure projects having held diverse roles as; Design & Engineering Manager, Project Director, Construction Manager, Testing and Commissioning Manager. This work has predominantly been associated within; process mining and associated materials handling, copper smelting and refining, potable and waste water treatment, gas and steam power generation, major road infrastructure projects, etc using an assortment of contracting frameworks (ie D&C, DBOM, Alliances, Partnering, etc) and forefront construction delivery innovations.
Domenic has a very broad and strong technical background with a ‘can do’ attitude whereby using this knowledge together with proven strategic delivery and commercial acumen to secure the project’s successful delivery with the full engagement and alignment of all stakeholders.
Domenic has a strong and broad understanding of technical and commercial risks associated with delivery of complex projects including those when working within brownfield operational plants and the need to constantly mitigate project risks include identification of possible opportunities.
Domenic held the role for 5 years for SA Water Corporation (South Australia) as the Design Manager and First Water Manager for the 300ML/D Adelaide Desalination Plant ($1.45Bn); responsible for managing; the preparation of the Tender Reference Design for the overall treatment processes, plant durability / quality and operation across all aspects of the desalination plant project commencing at the sea intake and outflow tunnels, sea water pre-treatment plant, RO membranes system, transfer pump station and pipeline to Happy Valley, power supply to site, preparation of capital and operating cost estimates and tender documentation, review and selection.
